About
Mariann Sauvion was born in Philadelphia of French and Belgian heritage, into a food-centric family that loved to garden, cook, and entertain. She has traveled extensively across the globe throughout her life, learning first hand the culture and cuisine of countless regions. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Mariann spent the first 10 years of her career honing her craft as a cook in French restaurants and bakeries. Seeking a more creative outlet, Mariann transitioned to food styling, where she has gone on to work with some of the most esteemed directors and photographers in the business.
Sauvion has styled for most major food magazines, worked on over 30 cookbooks, and contributed to major ad-campaigns, commercials, and product packaging. She additionally has extensive experience in recipe and product development and as a chef consultant.
An excellent problem solver, Sauvion has an artisan’s eye for detail and a true depth of knowledge of all things food and styling. She is always ready to bring her expertise to the “plate”.
